Stay where Gilbert began. In 1902 the Arizona Eastern Railway laid track through a stretch of farmland, and a town grew up around the siding. Railway Retreat takes its name and its spirit from that story — a comfortable, welcoming two-bedroom a couple of minutes' stroll from where the rails first put Gilbert on the map. All aboard for your Gilbert getaway. Two real bedrooms with real beds • King bedroom — ceiling fan, full closet with hangers • Queen bedroom — ceiling fan, full closet with hangers • One bedroom also has a dedicated workspace: 4-ft desk, office chair, and lamp • Living room — 50" smart TV and a small sofa, if the kids want their own bed The kitchen is stocked for real cooking: pots, pans, knives and boards, dishes for six, oven, toaster, tea kettle, and a coffee maker with grounds, tea, and creamer provided (heads up: no dishwasher). The bathroom has a tub/shower combo with towels for four, hairdryer, and toiletries. In-unit washer and dryer with soap and dryer sheets, AC and heating, and fast WiFi throughout. Out back, there's a shared backyard with a small grass area, reserved just for our guests. Sleeps 4 comfortably — built for spring-training trips, medical stays near Banner Gateway, tournament weekends, and walkable downtown escapes. Planning a longer visit? A FEW HONEST NOTES - You're in one of four suites in a small, quiet building, so you may occasionally hear neighbours through shared walls. - Downtown Gilbert grew up around its rail line and trains still pass nearby. Some guests notice them, most don't. - There is no pool on the property, and the kitchen has no dishwasher. - Infants and children are welcome. No smoking or vaping, and no parties or events. We're Superhosts and usually reply within the hour - message us any time for check-in help, restaurant picks in the Heritage District or spring-training logistics.

• No parties or events are permitted on the property. 🚭 Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. 🐾 Pets are warmly welcomed — one pet per unit, with prior approval and a $75 pet fee added to your reservation before check-in. Please: • Disclose your pet at the time of booking so we can add the fee. • Contact us before booking if you'd like to bring more than one — additional pets may be approved at our discretion. • Ensure pets are well trained and supervised at all times. • Clean up after your pets, including picking up all waste before checkout. • Do not leave pets unattended in the home, or allow them on furniture or beds. A pet that arrives without prior approval, or that isn't added to the reservation before check-in, incurs a $500 unauthorized pet fee. 👶 Infants (under 2 years old) and children are welcome in our home. 🔇 Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 06:00. Kindly move conversations indoors and keep noise to a minimum during these hours so neighbors can enjoy the peaceful environment too. ❕ Accidents happen! Nearby points of interest include Agritopia, Gilbert Regional Park and Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch—good for walking, trails and family outings. The immediate area is primarily low-rise residential and small commercial properties, making it convenient for short stays and meals out.

The whole suite is yours — private entrance, smart-lock keypad, and contactless self check-in any time after 4:00 PM. Your door code is unique to your reservation and arrives 48 hours before you do. Spare keys are kept on site, so a lockout never ends your evening. Free street parking is right outside on a quiet, uncrowded block, plus a dedicated space at the rear of the building.

Most guests get around Gilbert by car; the town is car-centric but downtown Gilbert is highly walkable for dining and local errands. Valley Metro operates local and express buses serving Gilbert and the broader East Valley; rideshare and local taxis are widely available. For short neighborhood trips check Valley Metro bus routes and any Gilbert on‑demand services. Cycling is possible on quieter streets and nearby multi-use paths at parks and preserves.
